The Step Deck comes in 3 different sub-models, with slight variations between the models: High Performance, Gun, and Psycho sizes. Because the rail remains thinner for all models of the Step Deck (than if additional volume was added to the entire board in a traditional sense), this board can be ridden in good surf, as well as gigantic waves, with increased maneuverability. Dan Ross rides his 6’2” when a 6’10” would normally suffice in powerful south Australian winter swell, and has provided feedback that his 9’6” paddles like a 10’0” (keep in mind that Dan Ross is not a normal human).
