“Using my old 90’s templates that were taken from 80’s boards I’ve come up with this throw back styled board. It’s essentially a modern take on the old short board theories. It has a lower rocker, a very mild concave, it’s thicker in the nose and thinner in the tail. The fins are slightly moved back and it has an old school rounded square tail and boxy rails. All this means that you have an easy paddling fast riding shortboard, not twitchy, with a smooth controlled feel that has easy release. It basically is a de-tuned shorty, it takes away the turns that you’re not doing anyway, if you’re not trying air reverses or sliding three sixty’s your not going to miss anything. A really user friendly option for the slightly older / heavier surfer that likes rail surfing and smooth hold.”
